Sportlight, a startup that provides player-tracking insights for majority of the Premier League clubs, has secured $4.75 million in funding led by Sport Republic, Southampton FC owner Dragan Šolak, Bolt Ventures, and the former chief financial officer at City Football Group, Andy Young.

Sports tech startup Hudle secures $1M in Series A funding

Hudle, a mobile app for sports enthusiasts to discover and book sports activities, has raised $1 million to fuel growth in existing and new geographies, and strengthen its business and tech team.

STRIVE closes $6M Series A round with participation from Athlete Investors

Future Communities led the Series A round funding in Strava, a technology company primarily focused on measuring and analyzing muscle data for athletes – with participation from Athlete Investors, including Jonathan Taylor and Troy Smith.

Metaverse pioneer Infinite Reality seals $470M acquisition of Esports company ReKT Global

The $470 million acquisition will see Infinite Reality incorporate ReKT’s entertainment and esports business, covering areas such as social, gaming, virtual, remote production, NFT minting and metaverse creation.

WagerWire raises $3M in seed funding round

WagerWire, a marketplace where bettors can buy and sell previously placed sports bets, has closed a $3 million seed funding round led by Roger Ehrenberg, the co-owner of the Miami Marlins.

Australian sports betting company Cipher raises $5M for US expansion

Australian sports betting company, Cipher Sports Technology Group, has raised $5 million in a Series A round led by Cygnet Capital, an investment group based in Melbourne.
