The company, active in the sport-tech sector, aims to become the Italian market leader by the end of 2020, reaching 1,000 sport clubs clients, and then go international

The round was closed by Maider, a venture capital led by Andrea Marangione, and a group of entrepreneurs from the digital world, among which: Carlo Cozza, founder of Localeyes and president of Campus Party, Daniele Alberti, serial entrepreneur and founder of Bakeca.it and Starboost, and Stiven Muccioli, founder of Ventis and co-founder of Golee.

Golee provides digital services to Football Clubs: from the management of the administrative area and the monitoring of sports activities to the creation of e-commerce pages and dedicated websites. The platform, launched on the market last September, is already counting with 190 sport clubs clients and is therefore used by about 15,000 athletes and 500 coaches distributed in

the four most important Italian regions.

“Our goal is to reach 1,000 Football Clubs all over Italy by December 2020: we have a young and qualified team whose members have been athletes in the Italian Sport Federations. We know the sector and customers, we want to create a platform that can bring value and innovation to the football world “- these are the words of the co-founder Tommaso Guerra, graduated in Business Administration from Lynn University (Florida, USA), with working

experiences in Spain and United States.

After a year and a half from its foundation, Golee, an innovative start-up that created a platform to digitalize the youth and amateur football world, closes a capital raise for a value of 850.000 euro and aims for a new round of investment at the beginning of 2020.

“After my last year as a youth player in the U19 team of Rimini Calcio” — continues Guerra — “I had the opportunity to join the Soccer Team of my American University, where I spent unforgettable years and I got familiar with a way of living the sport much more attached to the values of transparency and meritocracy. After 5 years I returned to Italy with the desire to bring that experience to our world “.

The co-founder Felice Biancardi continues: “Golee works because we are filling a technological gap and responding to market needs that have a big impact on sports communities. We realized that we are not only helping our customers to work better but also structuring and building them think like real companies: attract sponsors and players, sell merchandise, create the sportive database of their athletes, comply with privacy laws. Currently, there is no platform capable of digitally connecting all the members of the sport

world and this is also why many young entrepreneurs and companies are approaching us to collaborate and access our customer base”.

Daniele Roselli, founder of the Calciatori Brutti (a community with over 3 million followers on Social Media) is also part of the founders’ group:

“Local sports clubs have enormous intrinsic value because they are created and sustained by passion. If this passion finally meets technology and new models of communication, something never seen before can happen”.

Golee also relies on strong partners and incubators: Wylab (Italian Sports Incubator By WyScout), HYPE Sports Innovation (Tel Aviv accelerator with the largest network of sports companies in the world), Trentino Sviluppo (promoter of entrepreneurial development) and SpeedMiUp (incubator of the Bocconi University in Milan).

Today the company wants to establish itself as the Italian market leader and start the internationalization program: Spain and Portugal will be the first targets.
