The National Circuit of Monza partners with HYPE GVA 2.0 Startup, Stargraph to launch its first NFT

“Autodromo Nazionale Monza” is the First Circuit in the world to commercialize NFTs (non-fungible-token),  digital authenticity certificates regulated by blockchain technology. This was announced today by General  Manager Alessandra Zinno at the opening of the Rimini 2021 Meeting, where the Temple of Speed is present with an exhibition space until August 25.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza has been chosen as a technical partner for the entry into the world of non-fungible-tokens the company Stargraph, an innovative Italian start-up operating in the collectibles and blockchain market since 2017, which will provide the Circuit with the marketplace http://nft.stargraph.it for the purchase and sale of digital content.

For the launch of the initiative, the first NFT of the Circuit will be given to all fans: a faithful reproduction of the trophy given to the winners of the Monza races. The digital card of the cup, created by the Milanese creative designer Miranda Biondi, is the first digital work of the Temple of Speed available on the marketplace and will be sent to all fans who register on the marketplace between September 10 and 12, the weekend in which the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix 2021 will be run.

NFTs can be defined as tools that certify the ownership of a digital asset and that the object (or experience)  to which they are associated has its own peculiarity and individuality. The tokens are managed through blockchain technology with a mechanism like that used for the exchange of cryptocurrencies. The control  system is maintained by thousands of computer terminals that, as a sort of ledger, keep track of all-trans

actions and transfers of ownership of the NFT, with no possibility of falsification.

During the Rimini Meeting, in the space dedicated to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in the south hall, it will be possible to see the original cup and the first NFT of the circuit entitled “1st Official Monza Circuit  NFT”. The staff present will help the public to register to the Stargraph marketplace to claim the digital token for free.

In the future, the production of NFT at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza will not be limited to the creation of digital cards but will also extend to the sale of physical experiences that users can then enjoy inside the circuit itself. For example, it will be possible to digitalize and make unique the participation to an event in the Temple of Speed, giving the fan the possibility to buy an exclusive digital souvenir of the activity, which will remain in his crypto wallet. The goal is to reward the fan through his passion by enriching his digital wallet.

Alessandra Zinno, General Manager of Autodromo Nazionale Monza: “We are happy to have entered a  world that is new to us and has great potential, where the biggest sports players are already involved. Being the first among the racetracks is a source of pride for us. We are working in the right direction, looking to the future and sustainability, involving all those who love motorsport and not only. The NFT project represents a starting point, a courageous one, to develop other innovative activities that show how much our company loves to dare and always look beyond”.

Michele Imbimbo, CEO, and founder of Stargraph: “The creation and distribution of non-fungible (NFT) and fungible tokens is starting to penetrate more and more the sports and entertainment industry in general,  creating interesting new business opportunities, but especially new possibilities of involvement and interaction with fans. We are extremely happy to be side by side with Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in this  exciting new initiative, convinced that this is an important first step towards the full realization of our vision  of enabling fans to monetize their passion through NFTs and blockchain.”
